CAT – Common Admission Test is taken for giving admission into the MBA or equivalent courses in Top Business College/school in India likes IIMs. Most of student have a dream to get admission into the IIM which comes true by successfully score in CAT 2009.

Every year IIM takes the CAT exams for giving admission into the MBA degree courses. This time the CAT 2009 exams will be held on Nov 2009. CAT 2009 Eligibility:

For appearing in CAT 2009 exam The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA)categories], awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India
Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply

CAT 2009 Exam Duaration/Test pattern:

The CAT 2009 duration of the CAT 2009 test is 2 hours and 30 minutes including initial 15 minute tutorial. No breaks will be given during the test. The test consists of questions that evaluate a candidate’s quantitative, verbal, and logical & data interpretive abilities.

CAT 2009 to be Online

The new computer-based test (CBT) will be embraced by IIMs across Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Indore, Kozhikode, Lucknow and Shillong, and will allow students to select a date convenient to them from a specified period of 10 days. The new system is also expected to help the IIMs cope effectively with the increasing number of candidates every year. While around 95,000 candidates took CAT in 2003, the number rose to about 250,000 last year, reflecting a growth of over 163% and bringing the administrative system under severe pressure.
